Heliconia orthotricha cv. 'El Tigre' - Heliconiaceae
'El Tigre' will probably grow 5' to 7' ( 1.5 m to 2.10 m ) high in full sun to light shade.
Inflorescence consisting of 7 to 10 bracts usually. Bracts are red to bright red
over most of cheek. Black-green line along lip which may turn to cream proximally
on upper bracts. Covered with velvety hairs.
Rachis red on lower bracts, cream on upper bracts.
Blooms possibly all year long.
