Curcuma alismatifolia cv. Chiang Mai Red

                This is a sport of Curcuma alismatifolia "Pink" , well known as "Siam Tulip"

                Larger than most C. alismatifolia varieties, reaching 2' to 2.5' o more  ( 60-80 cm ) high in full sun to 30% shade.

                Inflorescence carrying purplish-red bracts with darker, brownish tips, sheltering the white and deep purple smaller flowers.

                Because of its color and size an impressive Curcuma that is very much suitable for cut-flower purposes.
