Conditions of Sale for unrooted Pumeria Cuttings - Heliconia Paradise
1. The cuttings will be shipped mainly during the dormant season of the plants which usually extends from November, December to March. During this time the plants will have no or few leaves and the cuttings will be hard enough to avoid rotting of the tips during transit.
2. The cuttings are usually 25 to 30 cm in length (10 to 12 inches) and are weighing 120 to 200g per piece. The weight depends on the variety. Some varieties do produce very thick branches which results in cuttings with a larger diameter than other varieties. These cuttings are naturally heavier than those of varieties with thinner branches.
Please note:
A number of varieties are slow growing with compact habit. These plants do not grow single tip branches of 12” ( 30 cm ) in length. The cuttings of these plants are therefore shorter than those of strong growing varieties. Usually one tip cuttings of semi dwarf pumerias are only 10 “ ( 25 cm ) long. In case of sufficient stock we can supply longer cuttings which will have three or four tips.
Examples of these semi dwarf plumeria : Elsie, Orange Sixty, Phet Chompoo, Lueang Phrathep, Som Suay, Thong Thaweekhun, Thong Thaweechoke, Y 02, and others.
3. As it is normal that not all cuttings will grow roots, a percentage of loss must be expected.
The capability to grow roots depends on the method of cultivation and also on the individual variety. Some varieties are harder to root than others.
I am not responsible for the loss of cuttings due to inappropriate treatment by the buyer after receiving the shipment. I am taking great care to supply only high quality cuttings and the cuttings are very well packed in order to avoid any damage during shipping.
We are cutting the cuttings at the best possible time which is normally by the end of the year or in early spring ( January-February).
4. Depending on the volume of the order the cuttings will be shipped by EMS ( Express Mail Service), DHL or airfreight. For large orders a packing and handling charge will be required.
Minimum order quantity is 100 US$ and also small numbers of individual varieties can be ordered.
