Petrea volubilis - Verbenaceae
Petrea is a beautiful climbing shrub which can reach a height of about 30'
( 10 m ). Multiple flowers form bunches that are up to 1' long ( 30 cm ).
While the actual flowers are dark blue, bracts of light blue are an attractive
characteristic, decorative already before the flowers have opened.
The name of this plant derives from R.J.Lord Petre who was an English plant enthusiast
living the 18th century.
