Musa laterita

                A species which originates from Burma and India is often sold as Musa ornata "Bronze"

                It resembles indeed Musa ornata in many aspects but growing habit is different as this plant

                produces long rhizomes and will grow more open than Musa ornata.

                Inflorescence brick-red or orange-bronze with male orange-yellow flowers.

                Leaves light green, up to 5' long. This plant can grow 5' to 9' ( 1.50 m to2.70 m ) high in full sun to light shade.

                Can be grown in containers which will restrict the habit of sending out long rhizomes.
