Musa ornata cv. Royal Burgundy
Another selection of Musa ornata which grows 5' to 10' ( 1.5m to 3m ) high in full sun.
Inflorescence carries glossy purple-maroon bracts and yellow contrasting flowers.
The stalks and midribs of leaves also show a maroon tint.
Fruits contain seeds and are not edible.
A very showy banana and probably the most beautiful form of Musa ornata.
