A Costus species which grows 7' to 12' ( 2.10 m to 3.6m high ) in partial shade.
Flowers yellow to light yellow-cream emerging from a terminal inflorescence.
The leaves and stems of this plant are quite densely covered with hairs ( hirsute).
Needs tropical climate - zone 10 and higher.
